WUKONG Artisans Workshop
At No. 37 Shuinianhe South Street in Chengdu, the red bricks and old machinery of the U37 Creative Warehouse. stand witness to time.
This was once the factory where our fathers worked—
their patience, precision, and dedication
became the earliest seeds of our craftsmanship.
The founder, Lawrence Lee,
was inspired by a relative who worked here as a tailor.
That devotion to every stitch sparked his lifelong love for handmade work.
Years later, when the old factory transformed into a creative hub,
that same passion reunited a group of friends who grew up here.
In 2014, we returned to this familiar ground
and founded WUKONG Artisans Workshop under these red brick walls.
We chose to craft leather goods by hand—not merely to recreate the past,
but to let the spirit of craftsmanship be reborn in the present. What we’ve inherited is more than craftsmanship,it is an enduring spirit of Focus, Sincerity, and Patience. We believe that leather, too, finds new life beneath these red walls. This is our story—the story of WUKONG Artisans Workshop, rooted in Heritage·Renewal·Perseverance.
